“You do?” He asked her, looking over at her. “Thats happened to be before. I mean before .. now” Harry said, swallowing the lump in his throat. “Sometimes you don’t plan to fall in love. You just do” He told her with a smile. “This is too sad. Lets do something funny” He said with a grin before stretching his arms. “What to do though” He thought.
“Yeah, love is like a silent hill in a war. You can never know when an enemy will attack.” Annabelle said. “Life is full of so many surprising things,” she added. “Yeah what to do, what to do?” She couldn’t think of anything. “That’s it I can’t think of anything. The last time I’m here, all I do is talk to people, go to school, go to work. This boredom is a killer.”

‘Attitude change.. You could say that’ he said quietly before looking over at her. ‘Well I don’t think you’re dead but mysterious girls are kind of my type’ he said with a laugh. ‘I’m kidding’ Harry said shaking his head. He looked up at Anna with a smile. ‘You think I have cheerful eyes? Thank you’ he said with a little laugh. ‘Well you see I fell in love with this girl-’ Harry paused, he still couldn’t say her name. ‘And well at first she didn’t like me back but she told me she loved me and we spent so much time together I actually thought she loved me’ Harry let out a sigh. ‘I was crazy about her. But turns out she was crazy about someone else’ Harry shrugged before staring at the counter. ‘You know Lizzie McGuire? When she first got a boyfriend? They were the cutest couple and she thought they were a match made in heaven, perfect for each other and then one day he says ‘let’s talk’ and he tells her that he likes someone else after he had just given her the promise ring.’ Harry didn’t even know why he was using Lizzie McGuire to express his feelings. ‘Thats how I felt. I felt like Lizzie when her boyfriend told her he liked someone else after he gave her that promise ring. Heart broken’ Harry said quietly. ‘she didn’t tell me though. I heard from people. That the worse part’
Annabelle felt silent for a while. “I know exactly how you feel,” she said quietly. “Though my story is different.” She fell silent again. As the memories of her previous life pass through her mind she told her story, but in a view of a third person. “There was this girl that was so innocent she can’t even hurt a fly. She had a mother who loved her so much and would do anything to protect. One night, her perfect little life had changed. Her mother was stolen and she was left all alone. Years later, the girl came back to retrieve her mother. She used people, she became cunning, manipulative. She became a bad person in other’s eye. But what they don’t understand is that she just wants her mother back. In the process of getting her mother, she met a guy and fell in love. It wasn’t a part of her plan. When she retrieved her mother, the boy confessed and they became a couple. In the end the disappeared, and the boy moved on with another girl. When the girl finally came back, the boy left town.” She ended the story with a sigh. She had used the word disappeared to cover the true meaning, died. ”Ok, this is too sad. Want to talk about something else?” She looked at Harry and she tried to smile.
Harry smiled at her as she spoke. She was blunt and it was nice since he was sick of people sugar coating everything. ‘Well I’ve been moving around. I was born and raised in England. Then well I changed… So I moved to Texas to start a new life’ Harry said using changed as an easy way to cover up ‘turning’. Harry smiled at Anna with a little laugh. ‘Well I’m glad you think i’m interesting. Not everyone does’ he said before looking over at her. ‘I think you’re interesting too Anna’ he said flashing a smile at her.
If she’s becoming way too straight forward, Anna wouldn’t know. She’d been silent for over a year now and that seems to be a good reason if she’s talking to much. “Hmm, changed? As in attitude change? Or something…” she didn’t continue. “Anyway, it’s good you think so too, I don’t really get that a lot. I mean, I’m the mysterious girl everyone thinks is dead because she’d been gone for years.” She gave a low tone to give spook or whatever that seemed so weird anyone would have laughed. “You are interesting, mainly because you have this cheerful eyes yet your expression and actions are so different. I want to know why. But don’t worry, I won’t push on the boundaries.” She smiled at him.
“Two months, well, I was gone far longer than that.” She said as she laid both her hands on the counter and started to play with her fingers. “You could say I was out of town during that time. Had a little trouble so I need to disappear for while.” Anna tried to be honest but if she will be truly honest she’ll have to say she’s a vampire who was killed a year ago, and she was resurrected by an unknown party.
“Aw, well I’m glad you’re back. How long have you been in Mystic?” He asked, leaning against the counter and looking over at her. He was glad he was talking to Anna, she seemed friendly. Like she wasn’t out to kill him. He smiled over at her. “Well I hope everything is well for you Anna. So what brings you here, in the bar beside me and conversating with probably the most depressing teen in America?” he said with a little laugh.
“Summing up everything I’ve been in Mystic since I was born,” she said. Five hundred years to be precise, she told herself. No one would hear it, unless…”My life is fine, besides the fact I feel that this place is a little of a ghost town.” She laughed, at her own lame comment and at his funny old depressing self. “I don’t know, you seem glum, and well I wanted to know who you are. You seemed interesting enough to know, well I think everything is interesting. Besides, you’re not the most depressing teen in America, I know cuz I’ve experienced it.” She said.
Harry smiled at her before putting his hand back on the counter. “Long, not exactly. A while I guess. I moved here two months ago roughly” He said, looking over at her. “How about you? I haven’t seen you in the two months I’ve been here. What a shame” He said smiling at her before running his fingers through his hair. He usually did that when he was stressed or nervous and at that moment he was both.

So many things ran through his mind and he had come to realize how sad he had been just because of one person. Harry sighed, when he realized that he had changed into a completely different person. He almost jumped when a girl introduced herself. He turned to her, smiling at how cheerful she was. “Hi Anna..belle” He said, his smile widening. “I’m Harry, Harry Carter. Nice to meet you” He said, holding his hand out to her.
She laid her drink on the counter and smiled at Harry. “Nice to meet you as well Harry.” Anna reached out her hand and shook his before pulling it back to her side. She knows what his problem was, when she was a ghost she saw him walking with someone. But she wasn’t sure if it was his girlfriend or just someone else. “So, have you been in this town long? Or did you just moved here?”

Annabelle, or Anna, as some people called her, took a walk on a cold night. She doesn’t really feel the cold breeze, but she still put on her coat just to fit in properly. She walked down the street as some couples passed her. Anna remembered herself with Jeremy. She knows he’s gone now, and she doesn’t know when he’ll come back. If he ever did, will he be still receiving her like he promised he would? Does he still love her? Anna doesn’t know the answer to this questions, she wouldn’t know unless Jeremy himself will tell her, but he’s not here to answer. Anna continued to walk down the same path leading to the Grill. People hang out there, so maybe she could find someone who knows when Jeremy will come back. As she entered the grill Anna felt the warm air of the place. She removed her jacket and tucked it on her arm. Anna sat on one of the stools by the cocktail bar and ordered herself a light drink.
