Faye quickly closed her book “you look terrible.” she said greeting Anna. Faye had been having terrible dreams lately and was not in any mood to deal with formalities or politeness. She wasn’t in the mood to deal with it on her happiest days anyways. So she decided to say the first thing she noticed.
Walking over to Faye’s table, espresso in hand, she gave a small smile. “Nice greeting. Hello to you too Faye.” She looked at her, then the book then at her. “I was kidnapped! What do you expect?” She said, taking a small sip of her drink. “You wouldn’t mind if I sit with you right?” Anna asked, motioning to the chair in front of Faye.
